7. Spikes for batters

WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?

Bowlers must wear spiked shoes in Subbies cricket. 

COMMENTS

I hear that someone wants this (again). I am yet to hear this formally however. 

The argument that won this last year was that spikes are expensive and become a barrier to participation for casual players. 

Unless there is a new argument this idea might not last long. If we could provide rent-y spike shoes (in the same way that happens at Ten Pin Bowling maybe) and provide some **evidence** that batting in spikes is better for pitches then we have the start of an argument.
