11. Delayed or Interrupted One Day Match Conditions Reg 26.3

EXISTING REGULATIONS

WHAT'S THIS ABOUT?

Reg 26.3 lists conditions to be altered for interrupted limited over matches. A uniform version appears in regulations for all 3 types on limited over matches.

COMMENTS

This either needs to be uniform for all three kinds of limited over games (20, 35 or 50 overs) or specific.

The use of the term "shortening intervals" in all 3 sets of rules might be misleading.

Shortening intervals is actually only available in Sun50 matches.

So its mention in Super 20 or Sat 35 is redundant.

PROPOSED CHANGE

Cut the Shortening Intervals dot point for all 3 versions but add a line to the Sunday 50 regulations which says:

"In addition for Sunday 50 matches only, intervals may be shortened. See Playing Regulation 22.1"
